Hi, I'm Steve Kryworuka.

I spent 11 years at Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce and Jetpack, including a stretch on Team 51, its special projects group. Payments, subscriptions, migrations, plugin conflicts: a lot of my days were untangling store problems for people who just wanted to sell their things.

I also make things and sell them. My own shop, Kapu Creations, started on Etsy. In 2026 I gave it its own IndieMade store, kept selling on Etsy, and learned what setting up the second shop really takes. Indie Shop Studio is that experience, offered to other makers.

Why IndieMade? It's built for makers, the whole store is one flat monthly price with no transaction fee of its own and nothing extra to buy, and it keeps stock in step with Etsy so you don't have to pick one or the other.

How I work

  • Fixed price, fixed scope

    You know the price before we start, and what's in it. Anything extra gets a written quote first.

  • Plain English

    I don't use jargon and I don't upsell. I explain what I'm doing and why, in the words you'd use yourself.

  • You own everything

    Your domain, your IndieMade account, your content, your customer list. You grant me access from your own account, and I never need your password.
